Hard Work

Well the past couple of weekends we have been working in our yard. Tom has done more than I have but I did help with the flower beds. In addition to the flower beds in the pictures below we did make a small flower bed around the Crape Myrtle. Lots of work but I like the results! (I love my new hibiscus plant!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

ANNOUCEMENT: We have a new neice - Little Miss Madison

Tom and I drove to Galveston early Saturday morning so we could see Ms. Madison and Judi before I left on the trip to London. I did get to see her briefly. She was such a cutie pie with a dark head of hair. The doctors were making their rounds so I didn't get to see her to long or take a picture. Trust me the next time I see her, there will be pictures posted here.

{Hopefully I spelled Madison right. I am sure momma and poppa will correct me if I am wrong.}

London in General

Hi, all.

My trip has been very enjoyable. The first couple of days there was no rain and it wasn't to cold. Today is the coldest day in March for the past 5 yrs. Let me tell you... It is darn cold. I picked up something to eat on the way back to the hotel and the thought of going back out does not sound pleasent to me at ALL. I am such a Texas girl. LOL!

I took the following pictures in around 2 hrs on Sunday. I actually took more that what I posted here but you guys know how I am will my camera.

I went walking Monday night (I will definitely be in better shape after this trip) and happen to find the foot bridge. I walked a little ways over the Thames River and looked out onto Big Ben. It was dusk so I could see Big Ben clearly but the face was illuminated. Very Pretty. I wish I had my camera but I didn't feel comfortable walking around with this huge camera by myself in the evening.

I haven't had a chance since Monday evening to walk around. Either it was way to cold or I felt like I had work to do.

London is a nice city and I hope some day Tom and I can come back here for a vacation.

Poor Thomas has been stuck in Houston with a ton of work at the plant and has to deal with the kiddos (dogs). {Thank you Thomas!}

Now, I better get a few more things prepare for tomorrow's work day.

Typical Shots That Remind Us Of London

Now I just need to get a shot of the cabs here! Tara I thought of you when I saw the telephone booth. : )

Various shots of London

Margie the top shot is for you. I took a picture for you but do you know why? Hint: I didn't find Picadilly Square but I took a picture of Picadilly street sign. {nobody help her ok}

Buckingham Palace

I was wondering why everyone was just standing out side the place fence not moving at all. I did not even think about the changing of the guard. I read some where that it only happen during the summer. Apparently I was wrong... I was walking to Hyde Park (top shot in this post) on the other side of the street and I started hearing loud sounds. Realized quickly it was the guards changing post. I could see the guards (grey uniforms instead of red) as they changed post but I did not bring my telephoto lense. If you look really closely in the top picture you can see the guards. Silly me.

St. James Park #1

Very pretty park!!!

St. James Park #2

Trafalgar Square

After I got to the hotel dropped off my bags, I headed out. This was the first place I stumbled upon. Lets just say they were having a St. Patricks Day celebration including a parade and green water in the fountain.

Picture - Birds London

A picture of the birds... mainly for Melanie. Boy did I want to run for cover once they started flying over my head. Yikes. No bombs landed on me. Thank goodness.

Judi's Baby Shower

I went to Judi's baby shower a couple of weeks ago. Just wanted to post a few pictures. Tommy and I are anxiously waiting for the phone call that we have a new niece or nephew. The suspense is a killer. We want to know... BOY or a GIRL!

Christmas 2005

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I hope all of you had a happy holiday. Most of the photos I took were of family and friends opening presents and no group shots. So I posted pictures of the neice and nephews instead. I have a few others that are incriminating (funny) so instead of posting them... in the Christmas spirit I won't and keep all the family happy with me.

Lots of love!
