Winery

The winery had very beautiful grounds. We loved all the flowers. Their pineapple wine was very yummy also. : )

Accross from the winery was a little general store and a deli. We stopped there for some fresh off the grill hamburgers. The sitting area was outside on the porch and we had little vistors while we ate....(see the pictures)

Sunrise at Haleakala Posted by Hello

Haleakala

Our second morning in Maui we decided to watch the sunrise at the Haleakala crater. This entailed us getting up by 2:30 am and being to the crater by 5:30 am. Good thing we were used to Texas time. When I think of Maui I do not think of chilly temperatures but let me tell you I was glad I dress warm. I think the normal temperature before sunrise is 40 to 50 degrees F. It was a very beautiful sunrise and looked like we were on a different planet. The scary thing was an older gentleman in his 80s had collapsed. There was luckily a doctor in the crowd and was able to help. They called an ambulance which did not get there until several hours later. (The crater drive is not an easy one and far from any towns) He was ok though. That is what counts!

Tammy and the really big strange Banyan tree Posted by Hello

This is one really big tree. It spans a whole Lahaina city block. The tree drops roots from its branches. (Really strange) Posted by Hello

Name change is really official

I (Tammy) went to the social security office and the DPS office to officially change my name. I was at the social secutiry office around 9 am and was finished there by 9:30 am. Then I headed to the DPS office and was finished by 9:50 am. Everything took less than 1 hour. Of course I had to call my sister and rub it in. (She stood in line at the social security office for 3 hours when she changed her name....)

YAE! Now I am officially Tammy Ninke. : )

Pictures! Oodles and Oodles!

Well, I had a chance to load a few Maui pictures to snapfish last night. I only uploaded the first two days we were there. It is going to take me a while to load them all. I think we took about 500 pictures during our stay in Maui. Thank goodness for digital cameras! I will perodically post one or two on our blog. I will not be loading all 500 though. : )

I will post a few of the wedding pictures here also. If you have not received directions on how to view the wedding photographer pictures via the internet please shoot me an e-mail.

Back!

We have been back from our honeymoon going on almost two weeks now. We have been busy getting the house back in order. The house was a complete disaster when we returned. There were tons of boxes of gifts and wedding decorations everywhere! We also had a yard sale at Margie's this weekend. We sold a lot of our duplicate belongings. Glad to get rid of those boxes.
